450 Allegation of Assault:
Allegations that her husband had assaulted her, inflicting a broken nose and other face injuries, were made by Elaine Marion Culpin before Mr E Forrest SM in the Police Court today.
Mrs Culpin said that after the assault her husband said: "I did not give you enough. I should have killed you."
Evidence was given by Sgt E G Lyons, Elaine Marion Culpin (plaintiff), Dr G C Gregory (Hospital Staff), Winnifred Learhman and Matthew Learhman.
After the adjournment Mr Brown said that the wife was prepared for her husband to be bound over and he would not offer any evidence in defence.
Mr Forrest, in finding that a Prima Facie case had been made out, ordered defendant to enter into a bond of 20 to be of good behaviour for 12 months.
