    CAMBRIDGE DAILY NEWS: FUNERAL OF A CENTENARIAN. Mrs Ann Webb, of High-street, Burwell, who attained her 100th birthday on July 31st, and received the King's congratulations on doing so, passsed peacefully away in her sleep on Sunday morning. On Wednesday evening a brief funeral service was conducted by the Rev. J W Upton in the Congregational Church, when the large number that attended that service included Mr and Mrs Joshua Badcock (daughter and son-in-law), in whose house the old lady had resided for six years, Mrs J T Hawkes, Mrs Seal, Mrs Barton (daughters), Mr George Webb, Exning (son), Mr and Mrs John Webb (son and daughter-in-law), the Misses Dorothy and Laura Badcock (grandchildren), Miss Gladys Goodchild (great-grandchild), Mrs Pope, of Soham, Pte George and MRs Clark, of Exning, Pte Ernest Thorby, from France, Pte and Mrs Webb, of Swaffham Prior, Mrs George White, of Ely, Mrs J W Upton, Mrs Wm Howard, Mrs H Blackwell, Mrs F R Ford, Mrs George Parr, Mrs H Cross, Miss Stevens, Miss Jael Warren, Mrs Sam Badcock, Mrs M Warren, Councillor James Blackwell, Mrs Turner and others. The interment took place afterwards in the Burwell Parish Churchyard. The late Mrs Webb had 12 children, and of these, there are three, aged 78, 76 and 74, who are still living and drawing old-age pensions. Her eldest son served 21 years in the Army, and seven of her grandsons and three great-grandsons are now serving in the Forces. Mrs Webb had, altogether, 30 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
