CAMBRIDGESHIRE INDEPENDENT PRESS: WEDDING - The marriage of Miss Gladys Emily Culpin, second daughter of Pte. M C Culpin, RDC, and Mrs Culpin, Church End, Swavesey, and Sec. Lieut. Percy John Stubbings, RE, son of Mr & Mrs H Stubbings, was solemnised at Swavesey parish church on New Year's Day. The Rev E G Peterson officiated. The bridge, who was given away by her father, wore a blue costume, with hat to match, and carried an ivory prayer book, the gift of the bridegroom. She was attended by one bridesmaid, Miss Grace Stubbings, WRAF, sister of the bridegroom, and Pte West, AOC, was best man. |
