    Link to Google MapsWill - Will of Rachel CULPIN of Woodnewton died 1764 In the Name of God Amen. I Rachel Culpin of the parish of Woodnewton in the County of Northampton Widow, being of a sound mind and memory (praise be god) do make and ordain and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say, First of all I will and appoint that my Funeral charges and lawful debts be paid and discharged. Also I give and bequeath unto my two nephews William and Thomas Landen labourers the sum of five pounds each, to be paid them respectively by my Executor herein after named, within twelve Kalendar months after my decease. Also I give and bequeath unto my stepson Charles Culpin the sum of five pounds to be paid him likewise by my said executor within twelve kalendar months of my decease. Also I further give and bequeath unto the said Charles Culpin one wool bed with the curtains and bedding thereupon belonging, three pairs of hempen sheets, one pair of flaxen sheets, six chairs, one square side board table with a drawer in it, one oval table one cupboard lying in the dairy of Richard Culpin of Woodnewton aforesaid one brown box one cutting one kneeding trough (these items crossed out and marked sold) one large coffer one white deal box, six wooden trenches one great kettle one two gallon kettle two large pewter dishes one fire shovel one pair of tongs one frying pan one warming pan one cross chimney bar with the link hooks thereunto belonging one beef hook and two candlesticks all which said goods are at this present lying in the house of the said Richard Culpin. Also I give and bequeath unto Ann Fryer an infant daughter of William Fryer of Woodnewton aforesaid labourer the sum of five pounds to be paid by my said executor within twelve kalendar months after my decease into the hands of her mother Elizabeth Fryer shall be a full discharge to my said executor for the same. Also I further give and bequeath unto the said Anne Fryer two pair of hemen sheets one draper table cloth one great cupboard standing in the parlour of the said Richard Culpin one pair of scales one porridge pot one shovel all of which said goods are at this present time in the houses of Richard Culpin and of the said William fryer. And lastly all and singular the residue of my goods chattel and chattels I give and bequeath unto my nephew John Landon of Helpston in the County of Northampton aforesaid labourer, whom I also nominate, institute and appoint my sole executor of this my last will and testament.
