British Home Child Albert Lucas Worsnop was the son of Mary Ann 'Polly' Culpin and Albert Worsnop. The couple had one other child, a daughter named Josephine Ledy Worsnop. Albert left the family and Polly ran a Boarding House with her two children until Albert Lucas was surrendered to Fagans Homes at the age of 11 as 'uncontrollable' and then sent to Canada at 15 years of age an indentured servant and farm labourer. He traveled aboard the 'Empress of Britain' in 1906.
Albert Lucas enlisted on 31 Jan 1916 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He served with the 128th Battalion, Service Number 252230. He was Discharged as Medically Unfit on 20 Oct 1916 and died of Influenza on 1 Nov 1918.
